Emerson School Market Day 2010.

Emerson school market day this year was held on the 23rd of March. Market day usually consists of trash and treasure stalls, face painting, temporary tattoos and many more fun activities for the kids.

The senior school automotive group had organised with Andrew Cox from the Austin 7 OST group,  that a number of Austin cars would run joy rides and a simple trials section be set up for the OST cars to display the manoeuvrability and skills required to drive such a car.

The association with the Austin 7/OST group started when Tom Howard from Emerson school attended the OST trials at Rob Roy after having seen the ad in the Herald Sun news paper.

Tom being very excited at what he witnessed went straight to the principle with some video footage and asked if the auto group could build a car as a school project and enter the car in the trials.

The Emerson school OST car ran for the first time at Rob Roy 2010 with James (Jimmy) Goodwin as passenger.

Emerson School and Tom Howard would like to thank Andrew Cox, Andrew Stritch, Graeme Burbidge, Rob and Janne Humphries and Gary Hawkins for taking the time and coming to Emerson. A day to be remembered.
